Funding & Registration

The participation of about 38 Young Researchers will be funded by the European Commission. Keynote Presentations are supported by the European Commission, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management of Austria.

We will arrange your travel and accommodation
If you receive funding your costs for travel, accommodation and conference fee will be covered. Both your accommodation and your flight/train tickets will be arranged by our partner travel agency Mondial according to your wishes. Please send your Registration & Funding Form as soon as possible! As May is the high-season in Vienna, we would like to book as soon as we can!

After you have sent the Registration & Funding Form to us, Mondial travel agency will get in touch with you, arrange all the details, suggest you a flight/train, and send you the vouchers you need.

Funding for Young Researchers

There is a set budget available for funding of Young Researchers. Our intention is to give as many Young Researchers as possible the opportunity to participate in this international conference.

Travel
Due to limited funding we will book train tickets (2nd class, couchette) if the departure town is within „one-night-distance“. For air tickets we will arrange APPEX-flights which have to include the weekend (=departure on May 18 or later). If you come by car, we can grant a mileage allowance of 0,36 Euro per kilometer.

Accommodation
We will arrange accommodation close to the venue for you. As a standard we can arrange a single bed in a double/tripple room, with bathroom, breakfast included. We will pay for three nights per person. Four nights will be covered as an acception (for people from accession countries, if you participate as a rapporteur in one of the sessions).
If you wish to stay in a single room, we will have to charge you an extra of 15 - 26 Euro (depending on the hotel category).

In order to be able to make the arrangements according to your wishes we ask you send the form via fax as soon as possible, but before March 25. In case you expect difficulties with the fax we suggest you to send the form via email to easy@wu-wien.ac.at too.

Hotel Information

Hotel Regina ****
The hotel is located near Vienna's City centre, in the university quarter, nearby the Votiv Church. Vienna's famous sights & shopping streets as well as the conference venue are within a few minutes walking distance.

Hotel Kaiser Franz Joseph ****
The hotel is located in the 19th district of Vienna. The city centre as well as the congress venue can be reached very easily by tram no. 38. Our house offers Sauna, Solarium, fitness room, a restaurant and all amities for the perfect stay in Vienna.

Arcotel Boltzmann****
Location: in the ninth district, 10 minutes walking from the Ringstrasse, a few-minute walk to a vivid gastronomic scene, parking facilities in the hotel's private parking garage.

Pension Bleckmann***
All our guestrooms have private bathroom (shower and toilet) direct dial telephone and satellite TV and most of them are situated in the quiet part of this turn of the century building. The closeness to the city centre in connection with parking facilities, Viennese flair and the solid decor of a 3*** establishment with personal service are the special features of our hotel.

Hotel Pension Franz **
The Hotel Franz is located across the Votive Church. It offers lavishly decorated rooms, all equipped with bathroom and mini-bar. Vienna's famous sights & shopping streets as well as the conference venue are within a few minutes walking distance.

We are a small nice bed and breakfast in the heart of the city and offer the possibility of an affordable stay in Vienna.
