EASY-ECO Vienna Conference

The Venue

The conference is going to take place at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Augasse 2-6, 1090 Vienna. We have reserved hotel rooms close to the university, a detailed list with prices will be sent to conference delegates upon registration.

The Vienna University can be easily reached by underground (lines U4 and U6, underground station Spittelau) and tram (line D, station Augasse). >> Please click here for a more detailed description of how to get to the venue.

Registration

To register for the EASY-ECO Vienna Conference please fill in the online application form. We recommend an early registration as places are limited.

Conference registration: € 380,-

The conference registration fee covers the cost of all refreshments and lunches offered during the main conference days on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, a welcome cocktail and dinner on Wednesday and Thursday as well as the conference folder, social programme and conference fee. Meals during the informal meetings, travel and overnight accommodation are not included in this amount.

EU grants available: EASY-ECO is organised under the European Community’s Sixth Framework Programme Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses action. One of the aims of the programme is to enable leading researchers and practitioners share their experience with those who are new to the field. Therefore grants are available for researchers with less than ten years working experience to cover travel expenses, the conference registration fee, accommodation and living allowance. If you want to apply for an EU grant, please send your CV and a letter of motivation as specified here to judith.galla@wu-wien.ac.at and a copy tomarkus.hametner@wu-wien.ac.at by 10 October 2007. The organizers will inform you about the acceptance of your application by 30 November 2007.

Registration becomes effective after payment of the registration fee or approval of the EU grant only. Bank details will be e-mailed to you after your registration.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations must be notified by e-mail to judith.galla@wu-wien.ac.at and markus.hametner@wu-wien.ac.at.

  • before 31 January 2008: registration fee will be fully refunded
  • before 15 February 2008: 50% of registration fee will be refunded
  • after 15 February 2008: there will be no refund

Application Process

The deadline for abstracts and application for EU grants is the 10 October 2007. The presentation of a paper increases the chance of getting a grant, however, it is not mandatory.

Participants who wish to present a paper, poster or case should send their abstract to judith.galla@wu-wien.ac.at and a copy to markus.hametner@wu-wien.ac.at.
