Call for Training Course Case Studies

With this call for case studies, we are looking for evaluation and impact assessment projects, which can be lectured in one of the upcoming EASY-ECO training courses on sustainability evaluations.

The tasks of the case trainers are

  • to prepare an actual evaluation or assessment project as case study to be lectured at one of the on-site case trainings;
  • to guide young researchers through the phases of the evaluation or assessment project with the support of a scientific tutor;
  • to provide individual support to young researchers during and after the training course.

We are looking for…

Evaluations of structural fund projects, evaluations of LA 21 activities, Sustainability Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, evaluations of National Sustainable Development Strategies, evaluations of climate protection or regional development programmes, transportation or development aid policy, assessment of national & EU policies, etc.

We are NOT looking for…

  • sustainable development projects as such;
  • evaluations and assessments on the corporate level (such as EMAS-auditing, corporate sustainability reporting, product and life cycle assessments);
  • monitoring and indicator reports.

The sustainability evaluations and assessments we are looking for should meet the following criteria:

  • applied science carrying out a systematic analysis;
  • of the causal effects and relationships of an intervention;
  • including a judgement;
  • based on the integrated treatment of ecological, economical and social aspects;
  • in a transparent process.

Your benefits of lecturing a case study:

  • being part of an internationally well known EU project, which has been awarded an Official Decade Project by the German Commission for UNESCO;
  • publication of your case study in the EASY-ECO Training Material (CD);
  • collaborate with leading international experts;
  • get in touch with young researchers from all over Europe;
  • get to know the evaluation culture of the host country;
  • full coverage of your travel and living expenses, extra pay for preparing and lecturing is possible.
