Welcome to EASY-ECO!

EASY-ECO is a training and conference programme on evaluations in the specific context of sustainable development.

EASY-ECO ("Evaluation of Sustainability: European Conferences and Training Courses") was launched by the Research Institute for Managing Sustainability at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Twelve European top-class research institutions are collaborating to organise five conferences associated with ten EASY-ECO Trainings on sustainability evaluations within the EASY-ECO programme. All events are aimed at building sustainability evaluation capacity and facilitating the exchange of relevant experiences.

2010-12-09: The EASY-ECO series of conferences and trainings has ended! We thank all our partners and event participants for making EASY-ECO a success!

2010-10-15: The final program for the upcoming EASY-ECO Conference in Brussels (17-19 November 2010) has been published. Register now!

2010-07-30: Registration for the EASY-ECO Conference "Sustainable Development Evaluations in Europe: From a Decade of Practices, Politics and Science to Emerging Demands" (17-19 November 2010 in Brussels, Belgium) has been opened (please note that EU-grants are no longer available).

2010-07-01: Deadline for applications for the EASY-ECO Training on Evaluation of Sustainability of Development Assistance Projects and Programs in Prague (27 Sept - 1 Oct 2010) has been extended until 12 July 2010!

2010-06-01: Application for the final EASY-ECO Training on Evaluation of Sustainability of Development Assistance Projects and Programs in Prague (Czech Republic) that will be held from 27 Sept - 1 Oct 2010 is open until 30 June!

2010-04-28: The deadline for applications for EU grants and submission of abstracts for the EASY-ECO Brussels Conference (17-19 November 2010) has been extended to 15 June 2010. For further details and a preliminary conference programme, please see the updated Call for Papers!

2010-04-26: Call for applications "Research Fellow CSR": The Research Institute for Managing Sustainability (RIMAS) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business announces an open position for a full-time Research Fellow, starting 1st July 2010 and with a duration of two years (24 months). Responsibilities include: Independent research and assistance to the project leader in two CSR research projects (financed from EU FP7 and Austrian National Bank). For further details please consult the call for applications that has been published on the RIMAS website.

2010-04-12: The EASY-ECO Brussels Conference "Sustainable Development Evaluations in Europe" will be held from 17-19 November 2010. The Call for Papers, together with the application for EU-Grants, will be open until 15 May 2010.

2010-02-26: Deadline for application for the EASY-ECO Training on Sustainability Assessment in a Transboundary Context in Tallinn, Estonia (14-18 June 2010) has been extended to 7 March 2010!

2010-01-26: Application for the EASY-ECO Training on Sustainability Assessment in a Transboundary Context in Tallinn, Estonia (14-18 June 2010) is open until 28 February 2010!

2010-01-25: A Call for Papers for the next EASY-ECO Conference on Sustainable Development Evaluations in Europe in Brussels, Belgium (November 2010) has been published. We encourage researchers from all disciplines (including young researchers), professionals from related fields of work, commissioning agents, and evaluation users and other stakeholders to submit abstracts for the EASY-ECO Brussels Conference 2010 until 15 May 2010!

2009-11-23: The deadline for application for the EASY-ECO Training on Strategic Environmental Assessment in Trento, Italy (8-12 March 2010) has been extended until 6 December 2009! Apply now!

2009-10-21: Application for the EASY-ECO Training on Strategic Environmental Assessment that will be held in Trento, Italy, on 8-12 March 2010 is open until 23 November 2009!

2009-10-14: EASY-ECO Budapest Conference (16-18 October 2009): The final conference programme as well as an updated timetable for the parallel sessions are available!

2009-09-24: The preliminary programme as well as a timetable for the parallel sessions for the EASY-ECO Budapest Conference (16-18 October 2009) is now available!

2009-07-10: Online registration procedure for the EASY-ECO Budapest Conference is now open, with discounts for early registration (30% for registration until 1st September 2009) and for multiple registrations from the same organisation or company (see here for details).

2009-05-14: Deadline for applications for the EASY-ECO Budapest Conference (16-18 October 2009) has been extended until 31 May 2009!

2009-01-26: Application for the EASY-ECO Budapest Conference is open until 15 May 2009 31 May 2009 (extended deadline!). Please see the current Call for Papers if you wish to present a paper, poster or case study.

2009-01-12: The deadline for application for the EASY-ECO Bilbao Training has been extended until 16 January 2009! >> Apply now!

2008-11-29: The deadline for application for the EASY-ECO Lund Training has been extended until 3 December 2008!

2008-05-26: Pre-registration for the upcoming EASY-ECO Trainings in Lund (14-18 April 2009) and Bilbao (6-10 July 2009) is open now!

2008-04-02: Application for the EASY-ECO Saarland Training is open until 23 June 2008!

2008-03-26: The next EASY-ECO Training, the EASY-ECO Saarland Training, will be held from 20-24 October 2008 in Saarbrücken (Germany). Application for this event will start soon!

2008-03-20: The proceedings of the EASY-ECO Vienna Conference (featuring papers, presentations, podcasts and videos) are available for download!

2008-03-10: Only two days left until the EASY-ECO Vienna Conference starts! We have provided a detailed description of how to get to the conference venue.

2007-12-12: A preliminary programme for the EASY-ECO Vienna Conference (11-14 March 2008) is available.

2007-11-22: We are happy to announce that the EASY-ECO series of conferences and trainings will be continued until 2010! This means that from 2008 on six more training opportunities and two more conferences will be held in various European countries. Click here for further information.

2007-10-10: The EASY-ECO Vienna Conference "Governance by Evaluation: Institutional Capacities and Learning for Sustainable Development" will be held from 11-14 March 2008 in Vienna, Austria. Click here to register.

2007-08-10: We are pleased to announce the next conference in the EASY-ECO series of trainings and conferences, the EASY-ECO Vienna Conference "Governance by Evaluation: Institutional Capacities and Learning for Sustainable Development" which will be held from 11-14 March 2008 in Vienna, Austria. The current Call for Papers, together with the application for EU-Grants, will be open until 10 October 2007.

2007-04-16: Application for the EASY-ECO Krakow Training will be open until May 30, 2007. Apply now for one of up to 35 EU-grants available to cover all costs (including participation fee, travel expenses, accommodation and living allowance).

2006-10-10: Call for Trainig Course Case Studies. We are looking for evaluation and impact assessment projects, which can be lectured in one of the upcoming EASY-ECO training courses on sustainability evaluations in Brasov and Krakow. If you are interested in lecturing such a case study to young researchers, please click here.

2006-08-04: Registration for the EASY-ECO Saarbrücken Conference is open until September 30, 2006.

2006-07-17: A draft version of the EASY-ECO Saarbrücken Conference Programme is available for download.

2006-06-26: We have opened a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section which will continuously be updated. If you have any questions related to EASY-ECO, please have a look at this section first.

2006-03-27: The Trainer availability phase of the EASY-ECO Szentendre Training will start on April 4, 2006. First of all, Benoit Simon will be available to answers questions in the EASY-ECO training forum.

2006-03-16: Deadline for submission of abstracts and application for EU-Grants for the EASY-ECO Saarbrücken Conference is over. Early bird registration will start on March 30, 2006.

2005-11-08: Express your interest in participating at the EASY-ECO Saarbrücken Conference via submitting your abstracts and applying for an EU-Grant. (Deadline: March 13, 2006)

2005-10-01: Online application for the EASY-ECO Szentendre Training will be open from October 1 to 31, 2005.

2005-09-20: The EASY-ECO Szentendre Training will be the next event of the EASY-ECO 2005-2007 series.
