EASY-ECO Lund Training

Training Host

CEUThe International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University was established in 1994 by the Swedish Parliament to respond to the global challenge for sustainable development. With the firm conviction that prevention is better than cure, the Institute is engaged in multidisciplinary research activities with the overall ambition to develop strategies and policies that further systems of production and consumption that support sustainable development.

Our research aims to develop and implement strategies and policies for new systems of production and consumption that are capable of decoupling economic development and improvements of quality of life from environmental and cultural deterioration. Special attention is given to research that involves the design, application and evaluation of policy instruments from a governmental as well as corporate perspective. The Institute seeks to perform such work in close collaboration and interaction with stakeholders from various parts of society and various parts of the world.

The research of IIIEE is divided into three main research areas:

  • Sustainable Products and Service Systems
  • Energy for Sustainable Development
  • Policies and Systems for Sustainable Buildings
